Lance Huber
grew up in Fremont County and was involved with both 4-H and FFA. He grew up
in rural Riverton, graduating from Riverton High School in 1985. He attended
Casper College, Eastern Wyoming Community College, and the University of Wyoming,
graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science. Most recently, Lance was
a volunteer at Trinity Lutheran School in Riverton, where he worked with the
middle school students.school students.
He was also a 4-H leader for over 10
years and was a great mentor to the youth of Fremont County 4-H.
He was a coach for both the Horse and Livestock judging teams. Halsey and
Murphy both enjoyed being with the kids and took care of Lance. The youth enjoyed
being around Lance, and took the time to explain his blindness and showed them
how to use his disability as a motivator. They said he loved working with children,
enjoyed fishing, was an avid sports fan, and participated in the Hellavahunt
in Douglas.

Burrell
was a loving mother who was an avid outdoors person who loved spending time with
her family, working with horses, being involved with the Fremont County Fair and
Rodeo including barrel races, and working with her daughter and her daughter's animals
getting ready for the fair.
She was a community leader for the Arapahoe 8-1/2 4-H Club, member of the Friends of the
Fair, served on the royalty committee for the Fremont County Fair and Rodeo, and
had won numerous awards in barrel racing.
